Activision Blizzard’s CEO Bobby Kotick has also agreed to reduce his pay by 37% and put the company through a series of changes to improve its corporate culture.
After their incidents involving discrimination, the company plans on hiring two new board members who are experienced with preventing workplace harassment and promoting diversity. They have said that they plan on making other cultural changes at the company over time too. Currently, there are four lawsuits filed against Activision Blizzard claiming that employees were forced into arbitration for claims of sexual harassment or gender discrimination during their employment there between 2012 and 2019. Kotick is currently being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regarding whether he provided accurate information about how much he was paid when trying to acquire Vivendi’s stake in the company back in 2013.
